Annie Cole - Sustain

AnnieAnnie's daughter Sarah attends a Sylvanvale Day Program in Rockdale. Annie and her husband Colin are passionate advocates for Sarah and they make sure that Sarah has the same opportunities and experiences that any other 23 year old would have.

Sarah has Angelman Syndrome a neurological disorder that is characterised by lack of speech, poor attention span and hyperactivity. Sarah requires far less sleep than other girls her age and is constantly on the move. This has an enormous impact on life at home with Annie and Colin often tag-teaming to maintain Sarah's attention.

Speaking about Sylvanvale Annie says "The Sylvanvale Day Program at Rockdale is at the top end of services that we have seen. Sylvanvale staff are truly gifted and we can't express fully how appreciative we are of their efforts and the future looks a little brighter for Sarah because of Sylvanvale".

Sylvanvale has played a part in helping Annie and Colin by providing support to Sarah. This gives Annie and Colin respite during the day and some peace of mind knowing that Sarah is happy, engaged and developing life skills.
