Volunteers

Do you want to make a difference to the world? Do you want to help people in need? Do you want to give back to your local community? Do you want to learn something new? And do you want to have a wonderful time doing this? If you’ve answered yes to these five questions, it sounds like you were made for volunteering at the Sylvanvale Foundation.

what will i do?

Our volunteers make a huge difference to the foundation and the people we support. At Sylvanvale, the volunteer’s role is rewarding, diverse and interesting. You could be:

  • Helping our with program activities
  • Supporting exciting special events
  • Driving buses to and from programs
  • Assisting our residents tend to their lawns and gardens
  • Lending a hand for general home maintenance
  • Supporting children during hydrotherapy sessions

Sylvanvale’s volunteers are amazing people who are very important to us. Just as our volunteers help us, we provide them with ongoing support and opportunities to gain new skills and memorable experiences.

how often can i volunteer?

We’re happy to have you help out as often as possible. That might mean once a week, once a month or once a year. Whatever the case, we’re keen for you to be a part of our volunteer family.

am i qualified to be a volunteer?

Depending on which area you volunteer in, you don’t need a qualification. However, all Sylvanvale volunteers must be at least 18 years old and be willing to complete a Police Clearance Check.
