Family Fund

Sylvanvale will be involved in a number of campaigns and awareness raising events annually. This year sees the launch of the Sylvanvale Family Fund Campaign. The Family Fund will support the changing needs of local families with the intention of increasing educational and accommodation places to children and adults within the local area.

The Family Fund has two main projects:

• Integrated Childcare Centre
• Sylvan Ridge Supported Housing Development

Both of these projects involve major capital works programs on the current site at Kirrawee and will provide Sylvanvale Foundation with the opportunity to enhance, upgrade and extend the range of services available while also utilising the existing infrastructure and facilities already available including; therapy services, a hydro-pool, transport, early learning and education services.

Integrated Childcare Centre

The Integrated Childcare Centre will support the changing needs of the local families we serve. This project will support 59 children in an innovative co-location model with the intention of improving learning outcomes for all children. Our Vision is to create a child care service that could be available to all families in our community, to help meet the desperate need for more support in this area.

Sylvan Ridge Supported Housing Development

Sylvan Ridge offers support and accommodation to local families caring for a person with a disability. The proposal will provide a 20 bed accommodation development offering flexibility to meet the changing needs of people with disabilities. It will comprise a 10 bed high support unit which will provide specialist care and 5 x 2 bedroom units for more independent people who can move into the high dependent unit if their needs change.
