Sylvanvale’s volunteers make a vitally important contribution to the day-to-day running of the organisation and without them we’d find it impossible to do all that we do. Children’s services, the hydrotherapy pool, day programs, group homes and the Opportunity Shop at Caringbah to name a few, all benefit greatly from the generous support of our volunteers. The Rat Pack Social Club, who work tirelessly all year round to raise funds for Sylvanvale and have done so since the 1960s, are made up entirely of volunteers, and we must not forget that our Board of Directors and Chairman Lorna Stone also donate their time. Throughout 2009 our volunteers literally spent thousands of hours driving buses, supporting day programs, assisting with special events and fundraising activities, as well as sharing skills and experience with Sylvanvale staff and clients. Indeed, our volunteers are one of our greatest resources and therefore are highly valued and much appreciated. We hope you will be kind enough to volunteer your time at Sylvanvale again next year. And we say thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done this year. You have made a difference to our lives and the lives of the people we support.
