Cronulla Rotary Lunch

Many of the Sutherland Shire’s business and sporting leaders enjoyed a wonderful lunch and entertainment at Doltone House, Sylvania Waters on Friday 18 June and raised money for Sylvanvale Foundation at the same time.

Cronulla Rotary President Stuart Payne organised the event, which featured two speakers, Cronulla coach Ricky Stuart and James Rosenberg from Macquarie Private Wealth, who both provided interesting advice and insight to diners about their respective fields. MC Marty Downs kept everyone amused with his wit and one liners and he also held a Q&A session with Ricky Stuart that provided a good overview of the challenges and opportunities facing the Sharks in the coming years. The club also conducted an auction of donated prizes that, with the sale of raffle tickets, raised more than $9,000 for Sylvanvale.

Sylvanvale’s Manager of Children’s Services Leanne Fretten explained to the lunch guests just how much early intervention can help children with disabilities, and the money raised by events like the Cronulla Rotary lunch go a long way to making that possible.

Sylvanvale Foundation thanks Cronulla Rotary, especially its President, Buraneer Bay Real Estate owner Stuart Payne, as well as everyone who attended the lunch and gave so generously for such a worthwhile cause.
