We recently welcomed a team of community volunteers from Westfield Head Office, who swapped their business suits for jeans and t-shirts and help build paths and garden beds at our Sutherland Day Program.
Greeted by Lorna Stone, Chairman and Pauline Stanley, CEO the team posed for some group shots before getting down to work. The Westfield Community Program supports a wide range of children’s programs through initiatives at Head Office and in each Centre. Sylvanvale is very proud of the support we receive from Westfield, and we recognise the important role Westfield plays in not only nurturing and supporting children, but also within local communities through projects and initiatives.
John Kelly, Director People Communication and Culture said: “The Westfield Team have done a great job and made a real difference in the lives of the people we support, days like this provide a real opportunity for us all to have some fun, make new friends and learn new skills”.
We thank Helen Tram and her team for organizing the day and enabling our wheelchair users to access garden beds via the new paths.
