Sylvanvale was delighted to enter a team in the 2009 Futsal Cup Gala Day held at Bankstown. The Futsal Cup is a competition for people with a disability aged 16 years and over and Sylvanvale’s Team consisted of 9 players across all areas of the organisation.

Each team played four games with the top four teams going on to compete at the State Finals in October.

Kevin Greene, Minister for Gaming, Racing, Sport and Recreation said: “The Gala Day is an excellent way for participants to develop their coordination, learn new skills and improve general fitness”.

Although we didn’t manage to win a game the Sylvanvale Team were real crowd pleasers and all players enjoyed the experience. A special thankyou to Good Buddy’s Sports Store at Caringbah for the donation of the team kits.
