On Sunday 25 October, Sylvanvale Foundation’s toy stall at the annual Gymea Village Fair was missing its primary supporter, Shirley Lang.

Shirley sadly passed away this year. Her commitment to Sylvanvale will not be forgotten as she was always a willing and enthusiastic contributor of her time. She carried out her voluntary work in memory of her daughter who attended Day Programs at Sylvanvale.

In Shirley’s honour, a group of her sisters, daughters and nieces have continued to collect, repair and clean toys for sale at the fair, raising funds for Sylvanvale. This year despite the inclement weather the toy stall raised over $1,200. We thank Shirley’s family for their continued support and hope to remain a permanent fixture in this well supported community event.
