Sylvanvale was pleased to organise a regional arts and disability forum with support from Penrith Council as part of the International Day of People with a Disability. The forum was held at Penrith Regional Gallery and the Lewers Bequest and asked participants to think about how we create inclusive and accessible practice for people with disabilities. The forum was well attended by a number of key people and organisations representing the artistic community in NSW.

Sylvanvale’s own Sandra McGregor talked about her love of painting and what art means to her. We also heard from experienced practitioners such as Phil Heuzenroeder (Club Wild, VIC), Angela Pasqua (Camden Creative Studios), Julie Humphreys (Katoomba Dance Theatre), and Katrina Douglas (Q Theatre).

David Cretney forum organiser said: "The event was a huge success and it was great to hear from so many passionate speakers about their experiences and their approach to developing inclusive practice."
