In March this year we decided to enter the NRL Footy Tipping Competition. Forty five eager punters signed up and after 10 rounds we have a clear leader on 52 points: Kate Smith, who works at group home Raine Place, Barden Ridge. In second place we have Shelley Mundy on 45 and Tammy Gaylard and Ed Ranginui are in third place on 44.
Kate’s tips have been so good that she is actually 7th place overall out of a total of 85,067 registered tippers. If she can hold her nerve she may be in line for the $10,000 first prize at the end of the season. Although local pride still counts, we wish Kate well and with 16 rounds to go, we hope the pressure doesn’t get to her.
