Do you need some time for yourself?
On Wednesday mornings from 10am until noon, a group of parents and carers of children with disabilities meet at Mikarie Place Kirrawee to talk, share ideas, and develop friendships. So that they can spend the two hours focusing on the group, their children with disabilities and their siblings are encouraged to play in the next room, supported by a play helper.

If you care for a young child with a disability, developmental delay or medical condition and are eligible to receive the Australian Government’s Carer Allowance, then you can join the MyTime group.
It is free, morning tea is provided, and you’ll benefit from the company of other people who understand the rewards and intensity of caring for a child with special needs. On top of that you’ll have access to online discussion groups, the latest research on parenting and other useful resources.
The MyTime Program is coordinated nationally by the Parenting Research Centre and is funded by the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).
