National Disability Awards

nat_dis_awards_pol The National Disability Awards are taking nominations until 5pm Friday 16 July so get your entry in now.

The National Disability Awards are held each year as part of the Australian Government’s International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) celebrations. IDPwD is a United Nations sanctioned day to celebrate the achievements, contribution and experiences of people with disability. It is held on 3 December and brings together people with disability, non-government organisations, businesses, all levels of government and the wider community.

The 2010 National Disability Awards awards have six categories:
• Minister's Lifelong Achievement Award
• Young Disability Challenge Award
• Business Award
• Local Government Award
• Social Inclusion Award
• Accessible Housing Award
