Artist ambassadors

Artist Sandra McGregor, who lives at a Sylvanvale group home Evans Lookout, and contemporary artist, Daniel Kojta, who recently collaborated with the Sylvanvale Foundation to create the award winning short film, Hitch, have both been selected as ambassadors for International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) in the Blue Mountains.

David Cretney, who works for Sylvanvale and is a member of the Blue Mountains IDPwD organising committee said, “The role of the ambassadors is one of communicating a positive message about the gifts, talents and contributions people with disabilities bring to our community.”

Sandra McGregor has enjoyed painting for more than 10 years and her works have been displayed at exhibitions, festivals and cafes in the Blue Mountains and beyond.
Daniel Kojta who lives at Wentworth Falls, draws on his local surroundings for his art as well his adventure pursuits such as rock climbing and abseiling. Daniel’s new multimedia artwork has been exhibited worldwide.

IDPwD is on 3 December. Check your local newspaper for events in your area.
