It’s a dog’s life

In the spirit of Dogtober, the Sylvanvale Foundation Sutherland Activity Centre (SAC) wanted to lend a helping hand to some very special four legged friends.

They decided to host a morning tea and had a delicious dog-shaped cake as well as puppy and paw-shaped cookies. There was also a match the owner to the dog competition which was a lot of fun. Plus three adorable dogs were the honoured guests and patted to within an inch of their lives! The fabulous morning tea raised $108 Assistance Dogs Australia.

A group of SAC clients went to the Assistance Dogs office in Heathcote to personally deliver the funds raised. The clients were proud of their contribution to the community, especially to a group who assists people with physical disabilities.

Assistance Dogs Australia was pleased to announce that The SAC won the Best Fundraiser by a school or community group category for their exciting Dogtober morning tea. They won a digital camera for their marvellous efforts.
