Chairman of Sylvanvale Foundation Board, Mrs Lorna Stone, has been honoured for her life-changing work within the Sutherland Shire community.
At an awards ceremony in Sutherland on 4 December, Mrs Lorna Stone received her 2010 Cook Community Award, presented by Scott Morrison Liberal MP, Federal Member for Cook. The award recognises unsung local achievers who work tirelessly to help the Sutherland Shire community.
Sylvanvale’s Deputy Chairman Mr Dennis Davies said “I have been proud to work alongside Mrs Lorna Stone during her 10 years serving as Chairman of the Board of Sylvanvale Foundation.”
CEO Pauline Stanley said “Mrs Lorna Stone is a true inspiration and community leader. She has encouraged numerous community initiatives while also offering support to many individuals. It is this tireless effort, dedication and excellent counsel that can always be relied upon.”
Mrs Lorna Stone has made a positive difference to thousands of lives and we’re privileged that she is an integral part of the Sylvanvale family.
