Flying proud

On Friday 17 December Scott Morrison Liberal MP, Federal Member for Cook visited Sylvanvale Foundation’s Head Office at Kirrawee to officially raise our new Australian flag.

Sylvanvale’s Peter Richards hoisted the flag with the help of Sylvanvale Day Program participant Graham Etherden while Scott Morrison MP, Sylvanvale Chairman Lorna Stone, and Sylvanvale CEO Pauline Stanley eagerly watched.

The flag now flies proudly overhead as students, visitors and staff enter Sylvanvale.

Sylvanvale has a proud Australian history that dates back to 1947 when a group of Sutherland Shire parents united to establish an organisation that would give children with an intellectual disability a better quality of life.

Like Australia, Sylvanvale is a diverse community, helping a range of people from different backgrounds, ages and abilities to live fulfilled, happy and meaningful lives.
