On Monday 17 January, Sylvanvale Foundation's Chairman Lorna Stone and CEO Pauline Stanley gratefully received a generous donation from the Member for Miranda Barry Collier MP. The $50,000 grant was made available through the NSW government's Community Building Partnerships initiative for Sylvanvale's Integrated Long Day Centre project, which is due to be completed by April. The centre will be the first of its kind in Sydney as it will offer 59 long day care places to children with and without disabilities and this will include places for high support needs children.

Sylvanvale is very fortunate to have received finding from the NSW Government, Sutherland Shire charity The Big Sister Foundation as well as many other donations from the community to enable this innovative centre to be built at Kirrawee.

Ms Stanley said “We are most appreciative for the support from the Member for Miranda who has seen how this project will support a need within our community. This contribution as well as many others will realise a community facility that will serve the Sutherland Shire community for many years to come.”
