At the Sylvania Rotary annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon Sylvanvale supporters, Rotarians and the local community held their breath as the 2011 Melbourne Cup was run. Yet as the race drew to the final metres, the hush in the room evolved into cheers, each person eager to get their horse over the line.

There might’ve been winners and losers in the race, but not for Sylvanvale. Proceeds from the day were donated to Sylvanvale.

Sylvanvale Foundation Acting CEO John Kelly said, “The ongoing support we receive from Sylvania Rotary is remarkable. We greatly appreciate the work they do and are thankful that they host such a wonderful event each year.”
